Hey all! So it’s that time of year again, where the days get a little chillier, shorter, crisper and in my opinion much more bewitching. I hope you all are enjoying the cider mills, pumpkin patches, petting zoos and just the last of the nice days, to be outside.
We most certainly have and let me tell you how cool it is to do these activities while watching Nellie experience them for the first time. The wanderlust in her eyes and personality is enough motivation to get out and about (that and I get to have my chi-tea latte everywhere we go).
We got to go to Nellie’s first pumpkin patch with my parents in Ohio. We went to this quaint little place in Salem, OH, called White House Fruit Farm. If you’re in Northeastern Ohio and you’ve never been you definitely have to take a trip! They have the norm with the pumpkin patch and the petting zoo, but their donuts are heavenly (I know I’m a believer in cookies making everything better, but TRUST when I say these may just make you float away…or maybe make you eat too many you have a tummy ache, either way, definitely worth the drive) and they have this little fair food area that has some pretty bomb fair food with great portion sizes (and by great I mean you get your money’s worth).
We have been on plenty of walks with the stroller and the dogs, just soaking up these last few days, but we also took Nellie to the park to try the baby swing for the first time! As you can see total excitement and contentment the WHOLE time (no joke for like an hour) while she was in the swing. I have to say, as a mommy, sometimes trying to calm your little one seems like an impossible task, but if it’s nice outside I say pop your little love bug into the car seat, drive them to the park and plop them into that swing! It should give you your sanity back and put a huge smile on your little ones face and that will just wash away every crazy emotion you were feeling 20 minutes ago. We also tried the slide, which she was a little more scared of, but after a couple of times down she started to enjoy it!!
I hope you all are enjoying your last few fun days as much as we are!! Thanks for stopping by 🙂
